2025 - 2026 CandyLand Season

Welcome to MedTech Hack!

MedTech Hack is a medical device hackathon set up through 3 months of training and research, culminating in a 36-hour build event. This beginner-friendly program is free for ALL students. With thousands of dollars and mentorship/resources to support your healthcare dreams, we hope you join our third annual season!

Overview

Registration: Register individually and tell your friends too! Teams are formed after Fall Training.

Fall Training: We work with you and your peers to develop prototyping skills from the ground up (resources will be provided). Afterwards, you will form teams of 4-5 students and research possible healthcare challenges you want to tackle within the concentrations (listed further down this page) for Build Weekend!

Build Weekend: After training and preparation, teams will hack together a solution to their target healthcare problem in 36 hours (resources will be provided) and present it to a panel of judges! With mini-events, food, and your fellow teammates, we hope this will be a weekend to remember!

2025-2026 Concentrations

Teams compete in unique, broad medtech categories listed below. When forming teams after training, please choose one track to compete in.

Health Monitoring: Tracking and assessing various health parameters in real-time (Ex: wearable technology, trackable sensors)
Occupational Therapy: Supporting physical, cognitive, and sensory impairments (Ex: assistive devices, teletherapy)
Clinical Applications: Improve patient care, diagnostic accuracy, and treatment efficacy (Ex: surgical tools, therapeutics)
